The Story
The Design Book Fair is a concept in development – celebration of design in print. The event is set to be a curated gathering of publishers, studios, and makers who live at the intersection of form and story. Held in Melbourne, the event attracts a discerning creative crowd who appreciate sharp ideas, beautiful objects, and the smell of ink. Our brief was to create branding that felt as tactile and provocative as the work to be on display.

Our brief was to create branding that felt as tactile and provocative as the work on display – something that would grab the attention of designers (you know how judgemental they can be). The result was a bold, type-led identity with a little bit of FU-I-don’t-care attitude.

Feel the hum of creative energy. Run your hands along the spines of impossibly beautiful books. Smell the intoxicating scent of freshly printed pages. You want to eat it. Just a taste? Mingle with designers, architects and writers without masking your trembling enthusiasm for the curve of a serif, the staggeringly gorgeous silhouette of a lampshade. Listen. To the sound of ink meeting paper. The rustling of pages. The symphony of creativity gathered in one place.
